The Machine That Won the War (1961)
Le Tre Leggi della Robotica di Isaac Asimov (1940)
1. A robot
may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come
to harm.
2. A robot
must obey orders given to it by human beings except where such orders would
conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot
must protect its own existence, as long as such protection does not conflict
with the First or Second Laws.
Nel suo romanzo del 1985 Robots and Empire,
Asimov creò una nuova Legge che sovrastava le altre tre e la chiamò Zeroth Law.
0. A robot
may not injure humanity or through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
"Some people have regarded the original laws
as 'slave laws'. After all, a slave is not allowed to harm a master, must obey
orders, and may even have to sacrifice his life to follow those orders. But I
view the three laws as examples of the rules that have governed the use of
tools since the Stone Age." Isaac Asimov
